While we offer free estimates we cannot give estimates over the phone nor over the Internet for the reasons listed below
Estimating is not guestimating – every job is unique, in that there are varying factors that need to be accounted for in order to be as accurate as possible. We, at Boysen's Custom Painting, feel that when we give a Customer a price to do a job that that price is what they pay. That’s not to say that if the Customer adds to the job they won’t be charged for it, but that we take estimating seriously and determine what steps need to be taken to provide the best job possible and base our pricing on that. We bid new work differently than repaints as outlined below.
- New Construction – We bid new construction from blueprints and specifications supplied by the architect, builder and/or owner. We can ascertain from the blueprints what the scope of work is and from the specifications which materials are to be used.
- Repaints – Which would include residential and commercial buildings, room additions and/or remodeling, need a site visit. There are many factors involved in estimating repaints, a few of them being, what type of prep work needs to be done, what are the environmental conditions that need to worked around and what type of materials need to be used. We also like to meet with the home or business owner in order to assist them in deciding which materials would be best suited for their needs.
