Estimating
While we offer free estimates we cannot give estimates over the phone nor over the Internet for the reasons listed below.
Estimating is not Guestimating
Every job is unique. There are varying factors that need to be accessed in order to be as accurate as possible. At Boysen's Custom Painting we feel that when we give a customer a price to do a job that is the price they will pay. Extra charges only occur if the customer adds to the job. We do, however, take estimating very seriously and in doing so, determine what steps need to be taken to provide the best job possible. Our prices are based on those findings. New work is bid differently than repaints as outlined below.
New Construction
We bid new construction from blueprints and specifications supplied by the architect, builder and/or owner. We can ascertain from the blueprints the scope of work and from the specifications which materials are best to use. This would include new buildings, room additions and or remodeling.
Repaints
Repaints would include existing residential and commercial buildings. Those require a site visit. There are many factors involved in estimating repaints, including what type of prep work needs to be done, what the environmental conditions are and how those will impact the job and what type of materials need to be used. We also like to meet with the home or business owner in order to assist them in deciding which materials would best suit their needs.
